Description
Penis Envy, frequently called simply ‘PE,’ is one of the most storied strains in the entire world of Psilocybe cubensis. The cultivar traces back to selective isolation work in the 1970s by ethnomycologist Terence McKenna, who is credited with stabilizing the unusual phenotype that bears the strain’s now-famous name.
The strain is unmistakable: a thick, wrinkled stem with a small, rounded cap that often refuses to open fully, even at maturity. Fruits are short, dense, and feel substantially heavier than they look — a trait that has made PE one of the most prized strains on the Canadian market.
